A cervical disc herniation is caused by an incorrect or excessive load on the intervertebral disc. If the load becomes too great, disc tissue presses into the spinal canal and irritates the outgoing nerve roots or even the spinal cord.
Affected individuals then complain of a variety of complaints that are characteristic symptoms of a cervical disc herniation:
If the herniated disc does not regress on its own or the symptoms increase, disc surgery is indicated. This is especially true if symptoms such as paralysis (muscle weakness), dizziness or gait disturbances occur. Symptoms originating in the cervical spine must be clarified by an expert at an early stage in order to avoid irreversible damage to the nerves and spinal cord, including paraplegia.

We offer our patients modern treatment procedures, state-of-the-art knowledge and precision surgery with attention.
