While treatment of the foot was long dominated by long-term and insufficiently pain-relieving conservative therapies, much has happened in recent years. The development of new techniques, materials and implants now offers a wide range of possibilities and treatment options in foot surgery.
The range of services in foot surgery includes the treatment of congenital as well as acquired deformities, traumatic or degenerative diseases, surgical operations and post-traumatic sequelae. This results in the necessity of close interdisciplinary cooperation in the fields of orthopedic, accident and vascular surgery as well as with plastic surgery.

Extensive knowledge and experience in diagnostics and therapy of these clinical pictures are a prerequisite for being able to treat them in a targeted manner. After all, the task of foot surgery is to enable the patient to walk without discomfort, while maintaining the natural function of the joints/foot and not disturbing it.
